We are absolutely thrilled to announce the much anticipated return of the Gippsland Pride Initiative!

After an intense 2021 for us all, the Committee have been hard at work making preparations for a spectacular return of all things Gippsland Pride. There has never been a greater time for connection, celebration and change.

While the behind the scenes work never stopped, it was heartbreaking to postpone last year’s Gala – and the answer to the question you’re all asking is YES, the gala is back on the agenda! It’s time to shake off the the glitter and frocks, and get back to work on making Gippsland a wonderful place for LGBTQIA+ communities. (But more on that later)

Before any new work commences, it’s important we get to work on our Annual General Meeting.

As this will be our first AGM since establishing in late 2019, all roles will be open and vacant. Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Russell and Sally as committee members, but both staying on as valued members and supports.
As part of our commitment to be truly Gippsland representative, this will also mean we open our committee vacancies with regional and community representation as the priority.

  • Baw Baw Shire Rep
  • South Gippsland Rep
  • Bass Coast Shire Rep
  • Latrobe City Rep
  • Wellington Shire Rep

With any luck, the weather will allow us to put on a BBQ. We will be sharing a Facebook event shortly, and we will also be featuring some guests joining us on the day. Hopefully, we’ll have some more news to share by then, so you won’t want to miss it.
Can’t make it? We will be live streaming the event on the Facebook event too.
We’ll be sharing more about our committee opportunities in coming days. We welcome all to consider this opportunity and are committed to training, mentoring and support for members no matter their experience levels.
